Enchantory

Enchantory is a digital service that is built around the needs of Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. The platform was created to cater to her fictional requirements as part of a web design course which prompted my first attempt at web development and coding.

Hermione is a hardworking, studious individual who relies heavily on books, knowledge and research to define her skills as a witch. Enchantory aims to provide a space to log, track and organise her reading habits and the skills that she learns from them. The main objectives of the service include working towards an informed database of magical texts that students can explore, creating their own “libraries” containing books they have read, want to read, and are currently reading. Students can also connect with teachers and their peers through Enchantory to expand their literary scope.

Being able to identify skills and theories from the source material will be a helpful reference for exams and academic study, as well as fulfilling the service’s purpose to encourage the pursuit of knowledge and academic success.
